İktisat Fakültesi Öğrencilerine Uluslararası İş Hayatına Hazırlık Eğitimi Verildi
Marmara Üniversitesi İktisat Fakültesinin ev sahipliğinde öğrencilere yönelik düzenlenen Middle East Development Network [MDN] ve Pearson ortaklı “İş Hayatına Hazırlık Eğitimi” semineri büyük ilgi gördü. Göztepe Yerleşkesinde 5 Aralık 2017 tarihinde yapılan eğitimde uluslararası araştırmalar ve somut tecrübeler ışığında, profesyonel hayatta başarı için gerekli olan kilit bilgiler paylaşıldı.
Seminer, uluslararası danışmanlık ağı olan MDN’nin Başkanı ve aynı zamanda Marmara Üniversitesi Siyasal Bilgiler Fakültesi Öğretim Görevlisi Murat Daoudov’un “İş Hayatına Giriş Kodları: Kariyer Geliştirme ve Dil Öğrenme Stratejileri” konulu sunumuyla başladı. Daoudov öğrencilerle; kariyere hazırlık amaçlı kişisel gelişim, sosyal çevre edinme, bilgi ve beceri birikimini artırma ve özellikle dil öğrenme teknikleri üzerine anahtar bilgiler paylaştı. Günümüzde ve gelecekte tek bir mesleğe sahip olmanın yeterli olmayacağını vurgulayan Daoudov, gençlerin okudukları alanlarının yanında başka sosyal ve teknik yetenekler de eklemesi ve birkaç dili öğrenmeleri gerektiğinin altını çizdi ve pratik önerilerde bulundu.
Seminerin ikinci yarısında ise Pearson Yüksek Öğretim ve İş Geliştirme Müdürü Sinan Kezer “Gelecek için İstihdam Becerileri” konulu sunumunu gerçekleştirdi. Kezer teknolojik ve endüstriyel gelişmelerle birlikte mesleklerin değişime uğradığını, bazı mesleklerin kaybolurken yeni mesleklerin ortaya çıktığını ve bu sürecin hızlanarak devam edeceğini vurguladı. Küresel düzeyde yayımcılık ve eğitim çözümleri şirketi olan Pearson’un yaptığı geniş çaplı araştırmalar ışığında işverenlerin personel arayışlarında neleri aradıkları konusuna da değinen Kezer, gençler için merak ve araştırmanın yanında yeni bilgi ve becerileri öğrenebilmek için sabır ve çabanın da önemine dikkat çekti.
İktisat Fakültesi Dekanı Prof.Dr. İ. Esen Yıldırım’ın hem öğrencilerin kariyer gelişimine destek vermek hem de modern öğretim teknikleri alanındaki gelişmeleri akademik kadro ile paylaşmak amacıyla başlattığı seminer faaliyetleri devam ediyor. Bu çerçevede öğrencilere yönelik MDN - Pearson işbirliğinde yapılan “İş Hayatına Hazırlık” programını öğretim kadrosu için planlanan bir başka eğitim takip edecek. Seminer sonunda öğrencilere MÜİF-Pearson-MDN ortaklı katılım belgesi verilirken, İktisat Fakültesi Dekan Yardımcıları Doç.Dr. Devrim Dumludağ ve Yrd.Doç. Dr. Başar Soydan tarafından Murat Daoudov’a ve Sinan Kezer’e birer teşekkür sertifikası takdim edildi.

A training seminar on “Career Preparation for Students” co-organised by Middle East Development Network [MDN] and Pearson was hosted with great success on 5 December 2017 by the Faculty of Economics of Marmara University in Istanbul. Based on practical know-how and in the light of various international studies, the seminar shared with the students key lessons and advices for success in the professional life.
The event started with the presentation on “The Keys to Professional Life: Career Development and Language Learning Strategies” by Murat Daoudov, President of the consulting network MDN and lecturer at Marmara University’s Faculty of Political Science. Murat Daoudov shed light on the important aspects such as personal development as career preparation efforts, building social network, strengthening personal knowledge base and gaining skills, and especially language learning techniques. Stressing that today and even more in the future it won’t be sufficient to have just one profession, he strongly advised the young people to work on constantly adding new social and technical skills to their main field of specialisation, and to study several languages. For that purpose, he shared a list of practical advices based on rich personal experience.
In the second part of the seminar Sinan Kezer, Higher Education & Business Development Manager at Pearson Turkey, made a speech about the “Employment Skills for the Future”. Sinan Kezer underlined that with the ongoing technological and industrial developments many professions have gone through transformation; while some professions disappear others begin to exist, and this process accelerates further. Kezer shared the findings of the wide-scale studies realised by Pearson, a global player in publishing and education solutions, on what the employers seek as qualifications in the job candidates. He also drew attention to that the young people need not only curiosity and research capacity but also patience and efforts in order to gain new knowledge and skills.
The series of seminars initiated by the Dean of Economics Prof. Dr. İ. Esen Yıldırım aim at supporting the career development efforts of the students and also informing the academic team on the latest developments in the modern instruction techniques. In this framework, the seminar on Student Career Development jointly designed by MDN and Pearson will be followed by another training seminar designed for the faculty members. For the present seminar the students were awarded the certificate of participation by Marmara University’s Faculty of Economics, Pearson and MDN. At the end, the Vice-Deans Assoc. Prof. Dr. Devrim Dumludağ ve Assist. Prof.Dr. Başar Soydan handed to the seminar speakers Murat Daoudov and Sinan Kezer the certificate of appreciation on behalf of the Faculty.
