Within my design of the cheddaring VAT I decided to avoid chain mechanisms to drive the agitator trolley.
Additionally I replaced the multiple problematic proximity switch positioning with two limit switches and one encoder

Our fully automatic Finishing VAT design supplied to GEA India is on its production test.
- The drive/advance system for the overhead trolley is encoder controlled screw shaft providing the drive system self cleaning and fail free operation
- Only 5 electronic position input devices gives the system a low maintenance advantage operating in aggressive dairy conditions
- Special agitator design gives the system a high drainage efficiency with less blockages
