NEW ARTICLE ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF A NOVEL METHOD FOR THE PRECIPITATION OF SILVER FROM THIOSULPHATE LEACH SOLUTIONS !

Despite the environmentally friendly nature of thiosulphate leaching, it suffers from technical difficulties encountered particularly in the metal recovery from pregnant leach solutions. Our new study presents a novel approach for the recovery of silver from ammoniacal thiosulphate solutions through its precipitation using trimercapto-s-triazine (TMT), which is a non-toxic organo-sulphide reagent.

The paper entitled ''A novel method for the recovery of silver from thiosulphate leach solutions using trimercapto-s-triazine (TMT)" has been published in the Minerals Engineering (Q1, IF: 4,765) and is free for download in 50 days.

NEW ARTICLE ON SELECTIVE PRECIPITATION OF COPPER FROM CYANIDE LEACH SOLUTIONS !

Due to the increased production of gold from copper-rich gold ores, it is of importance to remove/recover dissolved copper from pregnant leach solutions of cyanidation. Our study focused on an alternative method for selective copper removal through precipitation by an organic reagent.

The paper entitled ''Precipitation of copper from cyanide leach solutions using sodium dimethyldithiocarbamate (SDDC)" has been published in the Hydrometallurgy (IF: 3.338) and is now accessible online.

NEW PAPER ON NITRIC ACID LEACHING OF METALS FROM SCRAP CUTTING TOOLS !

Scrap materials contain a significant amount of critical metals like cobalt which is of economic importance from the circular economy viewpoint. This study investigated the leaching of cobalt, copper and silver from scrap cutting tools using nitric acid.

Our paper entitled ''Extraction of Metals from Scrap Marble Cutting Segments in Nitric Acid Solutions'' has been published in the JOM and is now accessible online (by Oktay CELEP, Mürsel ORAK, Ersin Yener Yazıcı, Haci Deveci).
