Malezya Yatırımımızda Tarihi Gün: Malakka’da Temel Atma Törenimizi Gerçekleştirdik…

DESAN olarak, küresel büyüme vizyonumuzda tarihi bir eşiği daha geride bırakmanın gururunu yaşıyoruz. Malezya ile yürüttüğümüz stratejik iş birliği kapsamında, yurt dışındaki ilk tersane yatırımımızın temel atma törenini 21 Nisan 2026 tarihinde gerçekleştirdik.

Malakka Eyaleti tarafından hayata geçirilen SM-WEZ (Straits of Melaka Waterfront Economic Zone) içerisinde yükselen bu projemiz, Türkiye ve Malezya arasındaki sarsılmaz bağların en somut göstergelerinden biri oldu. Malakka Eyaleti Başbakanı YAB Datuk Seri Utama Ab Rauf bin Yusoh ve Yönetim Kurulu Başkanımız Cenk İsmail Kaptanoğlu’nun katılımıyla gerçekleşen törenin ardından, sahamızdaki çalışmaları fiilen başlattık. Yerel ortağımız ve SM-WEZ ile 2027 sonunda ilk aşamasını tamamlamayı planladığımız tersanede, askeri ve ticari gemi inşasından modernizasyona kadar geniş bir yelpazede hizmet sunulacak.

Bu yolda bizlere eşlik eden yerel ortağımıza ve tüm paydaşlarımıza teşekkür ederiz. Denizlerdeki gücümüzü sınırların ötesine taşımaya devam ediyoruz!

Malezya Sahil Güvenlik Komutanlığı (MMEA) için inşa sürecini başlattığımız ikinci gemimiz MPMS-2’nin resmi sözleşmesini, 21 Nisan 2026 tarihinde imzaladık. Malezya İçişleri Bakanlığı ev sahipliğinde ve Bakan Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasutton Bin İsmail nezdinde; Genel Sekreter Datuk Awang Alik Bin Jeman ve Yönetim Kurulu Başkanımız Cenk İsmail Kaptanoğlu tarafından atılan imzalar, dost ülke Malezya ile aramızdaki sarsılmaz güvenin en yeni nişanesi oldu.

İlk gemimizin başarısını bir adım öteye taşıyan MPMS-2; İHA entegrasyonu, hızlı müdahale botları ve helikopter platformunun yanı sıra İnsansız Suüstü Aracı (USV) ile donatılacak. Türk mühendisliği ve yerli dizaynımızla hayat bulan bu dev projeyi 24 ay içinde tamamlayarak, denizlerdeki Türk imzasını ve stratejik ortaklığımızı daha da güçlendireceğiz.

We signed the official contract for our second vessel MPMS 2, whose construction process we initiated for the Malaysia Coast Guard MMEA, on April 21, 2026. Hosted by the Malaysian Ministry of Home Affairs and under the auspices of Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Bin Ismail, the signatures affixed by Secretary General Datuk Awang Alik Bin Jeman and our Chairman of the Board Cenk İsmail Kaptanoğlu have become the latest symbol of the unwavering trust between us and our friendly nation Malaysia.

Building on the success of our first vessel, MPMS 2 will be equipped with UAV integration, fast response boats, a helicopter platform, as well as an Unmanned Surface Vehicle USV. By completing this major project, brought to life through Turkish engineering and our domestic design, within 24 months, we will further strengthen the Turkish signature at sea and our strategic partnership.

Yeni Bir Kilometre Taşı: MPMS 2’de Sac Kesim Gerçekleşti

Malezya Sahil Güvenlik Komutanlığı (MMEA) için inşa ettiğimiz ikinci Çok Maksatlı Sahil Güvenlik Gemisi (MPMS 2) projesinde sac kesim törenimizi ATLAS Tersanesi’nde gerçekleştirdiğimiz için çok gururluyuz.

99 metre uzunluğundaki MPMS 2; gelişmiş silah, elektronik ve muhabere sistemleriyle donatılacak, dört hızlı müdahale botu, VTOL İHA kabiliyeti, helikopter platformu ve 30 gün kesintisiz seyir kapasitesiyle görev yapacak. Proje kapsamında ayrıca inşa edeceğimiz bir İnsansız Deniz Aracı (İDA) da entegre edilerek ilk İDA ihracımızı da gerçekleştireceğiz.

Türk savunma sanayiinin güçlü paydaşlarıyla birlikte, Türkiye’den Malezya’ya uzanan bu stratejik iş birliğini planlanan takvimin önünde tamamlamayı hedefliyoruz.

A New Milestone: Steel Cutting for MPMS 2

We are very proud to have held the steel cutting ceremony at ATLAS Shipyard for the second Multi-Purpose Mission Ship (MPMS 2) that we are building for the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA).

The 99-meter-long MPMS 2 will be equipped with advanced weapons, electronic and communication systems, four fast intervention boats, VTOL UAV capability, a helicopter platform, and a 30-day continuous sailing capacity. The project will also include the integration of an Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) that we will build, marking our first USV export.

Together with the strong partners of the Turkish defense industry, we aim to complete this strategic collaboration from Türkiye to Malaysia ahead of schedule.

We have signed a Joint Venture and Cooperation Agreement with our local partner for a shipyard to be established within the SM-WEZ (Straits of Melaka Waterfront Economic Zone), an integrated development zone created by the Malacca State of Malaysia. We officially launched this significant collaboration at a ceremony held in Istanbul on January 8th.

This project will be DESAN's first overseas shipyard investment. Within the scope of the project, together with our local partner, we will construct a shipyard that will carry out new shipbuilding, maintenance, repair, and modernization activities for military and commercial vessels. We have begun engineering studies for the facility, planned to be built on a total area of 171 acres; we have completed bathymetric measurements and soil surveys. We aim to start shipyard construction in the first months of 2026 and make the facility operational within two years.

Malezya’nın Malakka Eyaleti tarafından oluşturulan entegre kalkınma bölgesi SM-WEZ (Straits of Melaka Waterfront Economic Zone) kapsamında kurulacak tersane için yerel ortağımızla Ortak Girişim ve İş Birliği Anlaşması’nı imzaladık. 8 Ocak’ta İstanbul’da gerçekleştirilen törende, bu önemli iş birliğini resmen hayata geçirdik.

Bu proje, DESAN’ın ilk yurt dışı tersane yatırımı olacak. Proje kapsamında, yerel ortağımızla birlikte askeri ve ticari amaçlı yeni gemi inşası ile bakım, onarım ve modernizasyon faaliyetlerini yürütecek bir tersane yatırımı inşa edeceğiz. Toplam 171 dönüm alan üzerine kurulması planlanan tesis için mühendislik çalışmalarına başladık; batimetrik ölçümler ve zemin etütlerini tamamladık. Tersane inşaatını 2026’nın ilk aylarında başlatmayı ve tesisi iki yıl içinde operasyonel hale getirmeyi hedefliyoruz.

We are taking our strategic cooperation with Malaysia in the fields of defense and maritime affairs one step further.

Following our success with the Multi-Purpose Coast Guard Vessel (MPMS-1) project, which we built for the Malaysian Coast Guard Command, we have signed an agreement for a second vessel of the same class (MPMS-2). This important step was formalized at a ceremony held at the Presidential Palace on January 7th, under the supervision of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Mr. Enver İbrahim.

MPMS-2 will be equipped with advanced sensor, weapon, and communication systems, as well as additional new capabilities, and will be among the largest platforms in the Malaysian Coast Guard Command's inventory, alongside the first vessel. We are also proud to be exporting an unmanned/autonomous surface vessel (USV) for the first time as part of this project.

We will continue to contribute to the maritime security of friendly and allied countries by combining Turkish engineering with the strength of our domestic defense industry ecosystem.

Malezya Sahil Güvenlik Komutanlığı için inşa ettiğimiz Çok Maksatlı Sahil Güvenlik Gemisi (MPMS-1) projesindeki başarımızın ardından, aynı sınıfta ikinci gemi (MPMS-2) için anlaşmamızı imza altına aldık. Bu önemli adım, 7 Ocak’ta Cumhurbaşkanımız Sayın Recep Tayyip Erdoğan ve Malezya Başbakanı Sayın Enver İbrahim’in nezaretlerinde, Cumhurbaşkanlığı Külliyesi’nde düzenlenen törenle resmiyet kazandı.

MPMS-2; ileri seviye sensör, silah ve muhabere sistemlerinin yanı sıra ilave yeni yeteneklerle donatılacak ve ilk gemiyle birlikte Malezya Sahil Güvenlik Komutanlığı envanterindeki en büyük platformlar arasında yer alacak. Türk mühendisliğini, yerli savunma sanayii ekosistemimizin gücüyle birleştirerek dost ve müttefik ülkelerin deniz güvenliğine katkı sunmaya devam edeceğiz.

Türkiye’nin İlk Green Marine Europe Sertifikalı Tersanesi Olduk

Sürdürülebilir üretim ve yeşil dönüşüm vizyonumuz doğrultusunda attığımız adımlar, Avrupa çapında prestijli bir sertifikayla taçlandı. Avrupa denizcilik sektöründe çevresel mükemmeliyetin en saygın göstergelerinden biri kabul edilen “Green Marine Europe” sertifikasını almaya hak kazandık.

Bu başarıyla birlikte Green Marine Europe sertifikasına sahip ilk Türk tersanesi olduk. Aynı zamanda Avrupa genelinde bu sertifikaya sahip yalnızca dört tersaneden biri olarak, hem ülkemizi hem de sektörümüzü temsil etmekten gurur duyuyoruz.

In line with our vision of sustainable production and green transformation, the steps we have taken have been crowned with a prestigious certification at the European level. We are proud to announce that we have been awarded the Green Marine Europe certification, recognized as one of the most respected benchmarks of environmental excellence in the European maritime industry.

With this achievement, we have become the first Turkish shipyard to receive the Green Marine Europe certification. At the same time, as one of only four shipyards across Europe to hold this certification, we are honored to represent both our country and our industry on the international stage.
