​Through our School Educational Tour (S.E.T.) Initiative, students engaged in hands-on learning, from classroom workshops on the fundamentals of hydroponics and solar energy to getting their hands dirty setting up grow bags and smart irrigation systems in the garden.

1. Reduce Waste & Reduce Energy Usage

🌞 Not all solar installations are created equal. When integrating renewable power into sensitive environments like oil and gas storage facilities, "business as usual" won’t cut it.

At Renewable Power Caribbean Limited, we specialize in making solar safe for specialized industrial applications, including Class I, Division 2 (C1D2) environments.

What does this mean? C1D2 locations are areas where ignitable concentrations of flammable gases, vapors, or liquids might exist, but usually under abnormal conditions (like a leak).

The Engineering Challenge: We can't just slap a standard inverter or battery bank next to a jet fuel tank. The equipment must be designed to prevent an ignition source.

What are we doing in this photo?

🛠️ The Equipment: The enclosure we are testing is custom-built with specific NEMA/hazardous location-rated components that contain any internal spark or maintain a non-ignitable surface temperature.

🔍 The Procedure: Our team (with full PPE, including Arc Flash and Fire Retardant coveralls) is performing rigorous testing and verification.

🗒️ The Record-Keeping: While our technician verifies voltages, our QA/QC engineer (in the orange coveralls) is documenting every reading. In HazLoc work, "If it’s not written down, it didn't happen." Documentation of testing and proper installation is a critical component of regulatory compliance and overall system safety.

We are bringing clean, reliable energy to industrial sectors, but always with a "Safety First" mindset.
