Ladies......you need to be aware of the way in which a relaxer is being done.......timing of a relaxer is very important..... depending on the strength of the chemical and hair type (fine, medium or coarse), the relaxer including application should be betw 15-20 mins max......however there are a few hair types that are exeptions to the rules as their hair will take a lit longer to break down but anything longer than 30 mins is considered way to long which can eventually lead to no elasticity which in turn can become breakage.....the purpose of a relaxer is to relax our natural curl not to make it dead.......take for example a rubber band that is stretched.....stretched to much will lead to no elasticity or no bounce.......moving on from that some people tend to feel that once the relaxer does not reach the ends of the hair then its not being over processed......but the distsnce the relaxer goes to should depend on the amount of growth you have.....for example 6 months of growth is 6" of growth and so only 6" of the hair should have relaxer not 9" so those of you who will do the hair every 6-8 weeks and the relaxer is being done and its as much as 6 mths of growth being relaxed then your hair is being over process which causes extreme dryness and sure breakage......please please please ladies be observant and continuous.....hope this helps alot......thank you Glori-Us Hair
