After 25 years working in SMEs, I've noticed something interesting.

When business owners and leaders are too close to a problem, they often see the symptoms very clearly. What they don't always see are the patterns.

These patterns can show up as:

After more than 25 years working in SMEs, I've learned that many business problems aren't new. They simply show up in different ways.

3. Implementation didn't go as planned.
4. Progress feels slower than it should.

The details may be different, but from my experience the underlying challenge is familiar.

One of the biggest mistakes leaders make is focusing on the symptom instead of understanding what's causing it.
