Marketers need more sophisticated strategies when they turn to ChatGPT or Claude, or they risk generating generic, inaccurate and forgettable AI outputs. So Ad Age compiled advice from some of the industry’s top AI operators—Tech Power List 2026 honorees—to show readers how leading marketing leaders are actually using the technology.

These tech leaders, hailing from companies including Tubi, JPMorganChase and Netflix, described a range of approaches. Some assign AI models specific roles to inhabit, while others structure prompts more like code or detailed processes. Many said the biggest shift is happening beyond prompts entirely, as companies increasingly build AI into everyday operations, decision-making and creative processes.

In all, 1️⃣3️⃣ leaders weighed in with the techniques they personally use to get more out of AI tools: https://adage.com/events-awards/tech-power-list/aa-ai-chatgpt-prompting-tips-emerging-tech-leaders/
