Trinidad and Tobago is now under a State of Emergency, following a proclamation by President Christine Carla Kangaloo, after a formal recommendation from Police Commissioner Allister Guevarro.
The SoE went into immediate effect with the President’s proclamation.

Police kills Venezuelan man in New Grant

One Venezuelan national was fatally shot and three others are on the run following an alleged shootout with officers of the Southern Division Task Force on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025.

Earlier today, four Venezuelan men were proceeding in a vehicle along Torib Trace, New Grant, when they were intercepted by officers. Upon stopping the vehicle, three of the suspects reportedly exited and opened fire on the officers.

The officers returned fire. One of the suspects was later found nearby, nursing gunshot injuries. He was taken to the Princes Town District Health Facility, where he was declared dead on arrival.

A firearm was recovered at the scene. A manhunt is currently underway for the three remaining suspects who escaped into the area.

People be careful as this might just open a Pandora's box. Get proper quotations, invoice and warranty. You dont want to loose your hard earned money on shoddy equipment and installation. My main concern is the influx of new popup companies having access to your remote monitoring app, knowing your family's movements. Be safe and stay protected.
