Last week I had the honor of speaking at The Restorative Centre on one of my favorite topics β Legacy.
And the room did not disappoint. π
We talked about what it really means to build something that lasts β not just a business, not just a bank account, but a foundation that the next generation can actually stand on.
Here's the heart of what we covered:
β
Christ-centred Foundation first. Before the strategy and the spreadsheets, there has to be a purpose. Wealth without a why doesn't last.
β
Vision before ex*****on. You can't build what you haven't defined. Legacy is decided, not discovered.
β
Structure is not optional. The way you set up your business today determines what you can pass on tomorrow. Too many people build wealth in their name and wonder why it doesn't survive them.
β
Compliance is character. Your taxes, your filings, your financial obligations β how you handle the small things says everything about how serious you are about the big ones.
β
Diversify with discipline. One income stream is one point of failure. Build multiple, build wisely.
β
Manage before you multiply. You have to prove yourself faithful with what you have before you're trusted with more.
The conveyor belt β school, job, retire, repeat β was never designed to build generational wealth. It was designed to keep you productive, not purposeful.
Legacy requires a different operating system. π‘
Grateful to The Restoration Centre for the invitation and to everyone who came out and engaged. These are the conversations that matter.
