The deadline to file your 2025 tax return is 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟯𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. Once the deadline passes, penalties begin to accrue:

Claim Submissions just got easier!

Effective October 1, 2026, appointments are no longer required to submit your NIS claim. Simply walk in to your nearest NIBTT Service Centre, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Plus, Saturday service will be available at Port of Spain, Chaguanas and San Fernando on October 3 & 10.

No appointment. Just walk in.

The Board of Inland Revenue (BIR) is warning taxpayers to be on alert for fraudulent e-mails falsely claiming to be from the Inland Revenue Division (IRD) and urging recipients to download attachments or click on links.

🏠 Landlords, take note!
The deadline for Landlord Business Surcharge registration has been extended to June 30, 2026.

Before calculating your quarterly LBS due, ensure you are using the official guidance provided by the Board of Inland Revenue (BIR). There is currently no authorized online LBS calculator.
