🚨 Landlords in Trinidad & Tobago — Don’t Miss This Deadline
If you earn rental income, this update from the Ministry of Finance directly affects you. The new Landlord Business Surcharge Registration is now in effect, and compliance is mandatory.
Here’s what you need to know:
✔ All landlords must register with the Board of Inland Revenue (BIR)
✔ Registration fee: TT$2,500
✔ Surcharge must be paid quarterly based on rental income
✔ Late payments = penalties + interest
✔ Deadline to register: May 30th, 2026
