PGC-1α plays a central role in mitochondrial biogenesis and metabolic regulation through complex upstream signaling pathways and downstream transcriptional networks.

In this post, we highlight:
🔸 The PGC-1α → NRF1 → TFAM axis links energy sensing to mitochondrial biogenesis through coordinated mtDNA transcription and replication.
🔸Upstream activators of PGC-1α, including AMPK, SIRT1, and p38
🔸Transcription factors coactivated by PGC-1α, such as NRF1/2, ERRα, ERRγ, PPARγ, and FOXO1

arigo is pleased to announce that our Dengue virus NS1 ELISA Kit (ARG81357) has been recently cited.

Nanda et al. used an ex vivo whole-blood co-culture model to investigate cytokine/chemokine responses triggered by primary and secondary dengue virus (DENV) infections.

This kit was utilized to quantify DENV NS1 levels, a key marker of viral replication, in primary and secondary infections.

The authors further analyze the cytokine profiles and identified a negative correlation between IL-6 levels and DENV NS1 concentration.

These findings suggest a potential strategy for assessing DENV susceptibility through combined NS1 and IL-6 measurements. (PMID: 41488232)

Work hard, eat harder! 🌶️

Our team took a break today to recharge with some amazing Thai food and even better company.

Beyond solving challenges and working toward shared goals, it’s these moments of laughter, conversation, and shared meals that bring us closer together.

Grateful for a team that makes work both meaningful and fun. Ready for the next challenge — after dessert, of course. 😄

Ferroptosis is an iron-dependent form of regulated cell death driven by lipid peroxidation. It is primarily controlled by the GPX4/GSH axis, with regulatory mechanisms involving antioxidant defenses, iron metabolism, and lipid metabolism. arigo offers two antibody panels targeting key ferroptosis markers and regulators, respectively. These panels are reliable solutions for detecting ferroptosis and analyzing its underlying regulatory pathways.

T cell exhaustion is one of the biggest barriers to effective cancer immunotherapy.
And PD-1/PD-L1 is only part of the story.

Emerging checkpoint receptors like LAG-3, TIGIT, and TIM-3 are now recognized as key drivers of T cell dysfunction—often co-expressed and reinforced by the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment.

This layered regulation is exactly why many therapies fall short—and why combination strategies are becoming essential.

We’ve put together an overview of these pathways, along with research tools commonly used to study them.

One experiment that somehow never really ends. 🥲
If you've spent more time troubleshooting than actually seeing a clean band, you probably know this feeling.

Western Blot isn't just a technique — it's a cycle of troubleshooting, a test of patience, and occasionally, a reminder that biology doesn't care about your timeline.

To everyone still troubleshooting their Western Blot: respect. 🫡

Our RFP Antibody [ARG55744] has been cited in a high-impact study published in Nature Communications! ✨

A research team in Japan developed tendon cell-specific reporter mice using Rosa26-tdTomato (Ai9) models to study tendon regeneration processes. In this study, arigo’s RFP antibody [ARG55744] was instrumental in the precision identification of tdTomato⁺ tendon cells.

Beyond specific labeling, ARG55744 demonstrates strong performance in IHC. Its compatibility with both mouse- and rabbit-derived primary antibodies makes it a versatile and reliable choice for multiplex immunofluorescence staining and tdTomato/RFP reporter gene detection.

As Day 3 of AACR Annual Meeting 2026 gets underway, we wanted to quickly look back at a really busy Day 2 at our booth.

It was great to meet so many researchers, partners, and distributors throughout the day — lots of good conversations and exchange of ideas around ongoing work in cancer research.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by and took the time to connect. We really appreciate the chance to meet face-to-face and talk through potential collaborations.

Looking forward to continuing the discussions over the remaining days of AACR.
