Pigment
Process: Before production, the raw materials are mixed evenly with powdered pigment to ensure that the color powder adheres well to the materials. The mixture is then poured into the injection molding machine, where the materials are heated, melted, and blended using a material pipe.
Characteristics: This is a common coloring method with the lowest cost. However, products produced using this method may have color variations, and there can be uneven mixing.
Color Masterbatch
Process: Pigments are processed into small granules, which are then mixed evenly with the raw plastic materials. The mixture is poured into the injection molding machine, and the plastic is melted and mixed through the material pipe.
Characteristics: Color masterbatch provides better color stability, resulting in more consistent coloring. However, there may be minimum order quantity restrictions when purchasing color masterbatch, which can lead to unused inventory for smaller product quantities.
Pre-colored resin
Process: Initially, the raw materials are melted and mixed with a specific proportion of dye to create plastic pellets of the desired color. These pellets are then poured into the injection molding machine for production.
Characteristics: This method offers the highest color stability, and there is no issue of uneven mixing. However, the minimum order quantity is typically higher than that of color masterbatch, so cost considerations may limit its use for smaller product quantities.
