Last Saturday, over 1,000 people gathered at Santa Clara Convention Center for Taiwan Career Day 2026, representing companies and talent from across the U.S., Taiwan, and Canada.
Rising was proud to co-organize this event alongside Taiwan Next Foundation and International Talent Taiwan Office, with strong support from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, TAITRA, and Startup Island TAIWAN SV Hub.
What made this year stand out: participants didn't just come from Silicon Valley. Attendees traveled from LA, Texas, New York, Taiwan, and Canada. The demand for Taiwan-connected AI talent has gone well beyond any single region.
Highlights from the day:
✦ 27 exhibiting companies, most tied to the AI supply chain, including Foxconn, MediaTek, UMC, Phison, and more
✦ 30 industry mentors from Google, Apple, Amazon, Meta, and Tesla for 1:1 resume and career sessions
✦ Career Insight Panel featuring executives from Anthropic and senior recruiting professionals, unpacking how companies are repositioning talent strategy in the AI era
✦ Our own Kevin Liu, Practice Lead at Rising, joined the panel and shared a perspective from 18 months of cross-border placements: in the AI era, technical ability is just the entry ticket. What the market is repricing fastest is the ability to influence ex*****on
✦ Job Hunting Bootcamp by career coach Ginger, and AI mock interviews powered by MirWork
As our GM Sophia put it: with Taiwan's semiconductor and AI supply chain investments into the U.S. projected at up to $500 billion, the flow of capital is now driving a parallel flow of talent across borders. Companies aren't just hiring to fill headcount. They're positioning for the long game.
We're already looking forward to what comes next.
