What exactly is molecular hydrogen?

Before discussing hydrogen research, we should start with a more basic question:

Are H and H₂ the same thing?

H represents the element hydrogen.
Two hydrogen atoms bond together to form H₂ — molecular hydrogen.

So when you encounter a “hydrogen study,” don’t immediately ask:

“Does hydrogen work?”

Ask first:
