Our Story

Aitor Olabegoya is an award-winning executive chef, restaurateur, consultant and business development manager for F&B projects spanning dozens of capital cities across Asia and Europe. James Yen is a self-taught chef who has become a food & beverage company operator because of his love of food. Since Aitor and James met, the two explored different ingredients and food culturse around the world to create an adventure food tour. The two found that Taiwan has many ingredients and seafood similar to Spanish cuisine, combining the food culture of the two places. With the same value of loving to share, together, they founded GastroJoy in Taiwan!

GastroJoy is derived from Gastronomy: The art of exploring food and wine, combined with the word, Joy, it becomes:
