The Barbour’s Seahorse (Hippocampus barbouri) is a poet of the sea — silent, graceful, and full of mystery.

Native to the southern Philippines, Sulawesi (Indonesia), and the coastal lagoons of East Kalimantan, this species thrives in shallow, protected environments with slow currents. It wraps its prehensile tail around coral, sponge, or even seagrass, swaying like a living sculpture.

🐠Water Temperature: 24–27°C (75–81°F)
Tank Setup: Low flow, highly stable water parameters, fine sand or rubble substrate
Diet: Can be fed with frozen mysis shrimp or shell-free brine shrimp.

高冠海馬（Hippocampus barbouri），是海馬世界中的詩人，來自菲律賓南部、印尼蘇拉威西及東加里曼丹沿岸的潟湖與淺海區域。

牠們偏好溫暖、富含遮蔽的環境，常依附在海草、珊瑚支架或人造結構上，以尾巴環抱支撐自我，靜靜觀察世界。

🐠 理想飼養水溫：24–27°C
適合環境：低流速、穩定水質、細沙或碎石底床
餵食習性：可主動攝食冷凍對蝦、冷凍糠蝦。

Care Requirements
* Feeding: Carnivore. Feed frozen Mysis shrimp in two or more small feedings per day. An established copepod population will provide additional food and help keep them healthy.
* Water Parameters: 66°-83° F (19-28° C ), pH 8.0-8.4, sg 1.021-1.025
* Temperament: Peaceful
* Reef safe: With caution. They may eat small crustaceans. They may bother corals or be harmed by corals.
* Color: Generally in black or yellow. Color varies, and white and red are surprise bags in our fish farm.
