📣The following information is the latest News from India. ‼

The Indian Telegraph (Amendment) Rules, 2017, provides that every "telecom equipment" (Please note the definition of Telecom for TEC covers a wide range of devices.
Not limited to traditional Telecom products) must undergo mandatory testing and certification prior to SALE, IMPORT OF USE IN INDIA.

The testing is to be carried out for conformance to Essential Requirements for the equipment, by Indian Accredited Labs designated by TEC and based upon their test reports, the certificate shall be issued by TEC.

Products have been listed into different Phase levels and have their own mandatory date to fulfill the rule.

An OEM/Local Representative/Dealer shall not sell the equipment and a Local Representative
shall not import telecom/ related ICT equipment until it has been certified by TEC and the Certification Label is applied or embossed on the equipment.

📣Global certification News : For Russia and Ukraine approval

‼ Glodacert hereby informs you that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine has had a significant impact on certification, as of today, Ukraine's CBs have temporarily put their operations on hold.
There is no way to predict how long it will take to get back to normal.
So far, the operation of the Russian CB has not been in trouble.
However, if the product must be tested locally, the delivery time will be longer, please pay attention to your planning in the project schedule.

[Glodacet News] Ivory Coast - ARTCI requires a normal sample for approval or renewal of an expired certificate.

Below is an update on Type approval in Ivory Coast (Cote d’Ivoire).

ARTCI requires from today a normal sample for any new request for approval or renewal of an expired certificate.

It is important to note that this is not a new regulation, but strictly enforces existing regulations in the country.

Last information on the country reported a state audit on the management of state-owned enterprises, including ARTCI.

As a result, the new administration / management team requests strict application of the provisions adopted on Regulations guidelines.

🇹🇭 NBTC approval is a Thailand product approval for Wireless and Telecom products,
Such as Earbuds, Bluetooth speakers, Wifi, AP, wireless scanner, Smart phone, IOT etc.

TISI approval is a safety approval in Thailand.
It is a type approval and need local representative, local testing and also factory inspection.

📣Brazil: COVID-19 ANATEL Streamlined renewal postponed until July 31st, 2022

🇧🇷 ANATEL published last Friday the Official letter nº 233/2021 (see annex).

Due to the remaining impact of COVID-19, ANATEL decided to extend the Streamlined renewal process once more and now all Certificates with expiration date between March 6th, 2020 and July 31st, 2022 are exempt of doing renewal testing and

providing new external/internal photos as long as the device had not suffered any modification.

This exemption is not valid for products that failed during the tests in the last conformity assessment.

🇮🇪 India : Labelling Guidelines for phase 3 and 4 product of TEC

The Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) of India has issued the Clarification regarding Labelling Requirement for MTCTE phase 3 and phase 4.

🇮🇪 India: BIS announce the last date of IS 1293 has now been extended up to 23rd October 2022.

Extension in date of implementation of revised IS 1293 : 2019 superseding IS 1293: 2005 for “Plugs and Socket-Outlets for household and similar purposes of rated voltage up to and including 250 V and rated current up to and including 16 A”

The last date of concurrent running of IS 1293: 2005 and IS 1293 : 2019 has now been extended up to 23 October 2022.
