[BM502-FDS/FD502]mmWave People Fall Detection Sensor Solution

This demonstration features the Joybien BM502-FDS Module-based FD502 People Fall Detection Sensor in a toilet setting. The sensor employs advanced non-invasive mmWave monitoring technology and AI-powered fall detection to assist seniors and individuals at risk of falls. Upon detecting a fall, it sends alert signals to family members and caretakers' computers and/or smartphones via Cloud Server, enabling them to take prompt actions. This system provides reassurance that individuals are safely monitored without seeing their actual images for privacy concerns.

Realtime Dynamic Tracking with mmWave & IPCamera Sensor Fusion for Badminton Game Detection

This is a demo of a Badminton Game Detection using Joybien Batman BM201-PC3 mmWave EVM Kit running concurrently with an IPCamera, where the mmWave Radar data and the IPCamera image data are concurrently sending to a Computer to generate Pose Tracking of an Athlete using MediaPipe along with the Athlete’s 3D Position and Movement Velocity data tagged together for Sensor Fusion. Further Athlete Behavior Analysis can be obtained using this rich real-time dynamic tracking data.

This demo is based on the cooperation between Acacia Evergreen Technology Limited Hong Kong and Joybien Technologies for demonstrating people fall detection at Gerontech and Innovation Expo 2023 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre; where the Texas Instruments IWR6843AOP mmWave ASIC based Joybien BM502-FDS EVM Kit is implemented with mmWave People Fall Detection functionality with AIoT Fall Event Trigger for detecting people falling from standing, falling from bed, and falling from chair or toilet that is suitable for automatic detection of seniors alone at home via AIoT system without privacy invasion. Both Acacia Hong Kong and Joybien devoted engineering resources from gathering raw mmWave Point Cloud data to AI implementation for People Fall Detection with extremely high accuracy to achieve desired detection results.

This is a demo of Obstacle Detection & Avoidance / Alert using mmWave Radar based on Joybien BM601 (TI IWR1843 based mmWave) solution; where the mmWave Radar will detect region(s) with obstacle(s) within the range of radar detection (approx. ~3m, ~6m, ~20m or ~50m pending mmWave Radar hardware used and application firmware installed); suitable for Obstacle Detection & Avoidance and Alert type of applications for Drone, AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle), BSD (Blind Side Detection for Vehicle), Safety Zone Alert, etc.

mmWave Sensor Fusion

360 Degree Surround mmWave Sensor Fusion with BM501 x 3 Modules

This is a demo of using three BM501-PC3 mmWave modules (with each module having 120 degree FOV) to provide 360 degree surround mmWave Radar data fusion with real time Point Cloud data display. In addition, Signal-to-Noise Ratio and Doppler Speed parameters can be adjusted for better visualization and representation of Point Cloud data on the display.
