IMPORTANT for all people using Microsoft Windows at home or the office: over the weekend, more than 74 countries worldwide were hit by the "WannaCrypt RansomWare" worm. Ransomware is a worm, or virus, named so because once it infects your computer it will encrypt all your documents and will only return them to a readable format after you make payment to an anonymous account, this time an amount of over $300! You can be infected if one computer on your network opens an attachment in a received email after which the infected computer will automatically infect all other computers on your network!
The good news is that Microsoft immediately released a Windows Security Update to prevent infection, even for the now unsupported Windows XP. All you need to do, and you need to do this immediately, is start Windows Update and ensure you have downloaded and installed ALL critical updates.
