Major activities
Educational support – placing identified and assessed children to specific schools. Identification of Deafblind and Multiple impaired children at different environment. Training specialized teachers, guardians, the community and other stakeholders assisting these groups of impairments. Plan for vocational training to Deafblind and Multiple Impaired persons according to the degree

of his/her disability. Provide home based services and supply appropriate materials for learning and living. Create and promote employment opportunities for Deafblinds, Multiple impaired Persons, deaf and Visual Impaired with additional impairments. Conduct research on deafblindness and Multiple impairments in Tanzania. To link parents each other and with the Deafblind and Multiple impairment service providers. Advocate the Deafblind and their families to issues pertaining human and basic rights of those individuals. Mtunge

MAJOR GOAL: DBAS's major goal is;

To equip stakeholders and to conduct research on comprehensible, applicable, accessible and sustainable knowledge, skills, pedagogical and technology of identification, assessments and enhancement of helpful services, communicative devices and advice to all teachers, parents, person with deafblindness and with multisensory disabilities to ensure the world as a better and conducive place to live and learn. OBJECTIVES OF ORGANIZATION::

To provide services, learning and living materials for disabled individuals and enhance knowledge of improvement of living standards for disabled persons in their environment. To promote the acquisition and appropriate uses of literacy, social, scientific, vocational, technological, professional and other forms of knowledge, skills and understanding for the development of improvement of the condition of man and society. To develop and promote living independence, self-confidence, inquiry mind and understanding, respect for human dignity, human rights and a readiness to work for personal self advancement and society improvement. To enable and expand the scope of acquisition, improvement and upgrading of mental, practical, productive enriched human and other skills needed to meet the changing needs of technology and environment, industry and economy. To create and expand education opportunities to all impaired people in the country and world at large and ensure every individual acquire education at his/her level and capacity of their learning through school and home services to cater the needs of every learner
