Entilata Resource Team Center (EReT Center) started in 2012. This business came as a means to complement Tanzania government and other actors efforts in addressing needs of rural communities particularly pastoralists and small-holders farmers in agricultural services delivery and empowerment by doing.
The Center received it’s registration from the Business Registration and Licensing Agency (BRELA) in accordance to Company Act CAP 213 [R.E. 2002]; on 7th June, 2016 and given registration Number 410297. The Center is designated and it endeavor shall be a social business in delivering need driven and affordable agribusiness and project development services in Tanzania.
Focus of the Center
The Center provides need driven project development consultancies services on agriculture sector (crops and livestock), Climate Change and Natural Resources; and implements partnership programmes/projects that promote value addition for viable, productive and profitable business to enhance food security, rural commercialization and sustainable rural livelihoods. The consumers of our services are pastoralists, government agencies and Non State Actors (NSAs) who are recipient of our technical support in the area of agriculture Value Chain Development (VCD) and Value addition and others services which fall under our thematic areas.
The Center is responsible to address the following specific objectives:
To complement the government efforts in addressing challenges which face rural communities particularly pastoralists and smallholders farmers in achieving sustainable livelihoods
To contribute knowledge and building capacity of local agribusiness value chains actors through consultancy service provision
To enhance crops and livestock value chains development and value addition through products production, processing, packaging and creates market linkages
To contribute to environmental conservation through enhancing good agriculture and livestock production systems
To promote climate change adaptation and mitigation through renewable energy technologies and sustainable development production systems
To supporting youth groups to create employment through enterprise formalization and business plans development

The Center uses diversity of approaches to achieve her objectives, Mission and Vision. We do not undertake advocacy work but we provide evidence through undertaking action research, road-test (pilot) projects, communication and networking with other like-minded local and international practitioners.
