I had to find a similar location we got in the Seychelles for Tanzania. Welcome to Ngezi Forest Reserve in Pemba Island.

The Ngezi Forest Reserve is located in the north-western tip of Pemba, the second largest island in the Zanzibar Archipelago. It borders on the villages of Kiuyu Kwa Manda (south), Tondooni, Verani and Makangale (north), Msuka (east) and Kipangani (west); to the west, it also borders on the Pemba Channel.

To make your way to the north tip of the island you have to pass through the forest, it’s short but beautiful drive and if your lucky you might spot a few birds, monkeys etcI had to find a similar location we got in the Seychelles for Tanzania. Welcome to Ngezi Forest Reserve in Pemba Island.

What I have learnt about fighting creative blocks is that when you feel them the best solution is to go out and create.

The more we linger on the thought of being blocked is how we continue to stay blocked from our creativity.

Probably the worst experience I have had in 8 years of shooting but definitely a great lesson to learn. Saying goodbye to workhorse of a camera but excited to the next phase of content creation. Celebrating this little guy!

I decided to order the same camera because it’s been such a great tool to use for both video and photo. After a lot of research before ordering the A7iii I found that it had all the things I need for a the type of content I create.

New video is going to go up to share some of the reasons I stay with the Sony A7iii, notification gang y’all will know when it up! Love you guys and thanks for the constant support!

My latest video ends with this quote. Y Judy Blume “Each of us must confront our own fears, must come face to face with them. How we handle our fears will determine where we go with the rest of our lives. To experience adventure or to be limited by the fear of it.”

Probably year ago now I was going through a tough time after closing down my studio and trying to figure out what I really wanted to peruse moving forward. The imaginary pressure I built internally of how many parents, family member and society would see me as a failure was quite strong. It somehow gripped me deeply and made me feel like I was stuck...it wasn’t the best moment in my life but looking back at it I feel like it was the most important moment in my life.

A lot of times we find ourselves craving a life that is perfect...a life without the scars that shape us. After my experience of what seemed like failure at the time I have realized I don’t want a perfect life. I want to feel as a human as possible and to feel human we have to feel every emotion and moments that come with it. Whether good or bad they shape us to be who we are destined to be.

The past weekend was really eventful, full of extra high moments and low moments too. I finally got to do a long distance drive to Kilwa Masoko and it was worth the 5 hour drive.

One thing I noticed from this trip was that as a local finding information about locations to visit online is very tough. There is usually very little information about what you can do at certain places and the images are often very few to be able to provide someone with enough of push to visit a place. I really want to change that.

The hostel we stayed at was Slow leopard which is about a 5minute drive from Kilwa Masoko town (very small town) and it cost 27,000tshs per night and if you add in 25,000tshs you will have your food covered as well for the day.

That’s a bit of info about the location, I will share more on an upcoming video once I sort out getting a camera because I accidentally ruined my camera this past weekend while on a boat cruise (let’s just say this was the very low moment of the trip) I personally don’t like people feeling sympathy for me so don’t feel sorry let’s just keep it moving! ✊🏽 @ Kilwa Masoko

The project I spent doing in Mbeya was an amazing experience but what made even more unique was these two gents.

No moment went without laughter, great conversations and forward thinking. It was such a refreshing vibe to be in, some young adults all trying to create successful businesses and thinking outside the box.

Monday morning Hues.

Had a chat with this morning about 9-5 and how at the time people thought he was crazy to leave a paying job to follow his dream to do travel & documentary photography. “People were telling me your going to let go of your car and salary”

If you really decided to sit by yourself and cancel out the noise, fears and the insecurities others push on to you and really listen to yourself....really listen! You will find the courage push forward your dreams!

To often we are told to settle with the life we have not because we want to but because everyone else has decided they are comfortable with weekly routines- work from Monday waiting to party on Friday and do the same thing the following week.

Listen to what makes your heartbeat faster. Listen to what sparks the flames that ignite your imagination. Listen!
