*THE IMPACT OF HON. LOWASSA TO MY EDUCATIONAL JOURNEY*
Everything has a foundation.
It takes me back in 2005 when I was not selected to join Seconday School among many who were selected. The only option I had was to find another school to repeat. Actually, I got a chance to repeat standard VII in one school in 2006.
By that time, the Hon. Lowassa, who is now late, was a Prime Minister of the URT.
His great wish was to see every child get an education no matter the capacity of infrastructures. Moreover "Shule za Kata" (Kayumba) were yet to be opened. Then, surprisingly, as a Prime Minister, he directed the Ministry of Education to announce the second selection of students to join secondary school, and I was in the listππ»ππ» to join Bariadi Secondary School, a day school. That was in May 2006. I joined form I later on May 2006 at, not a normal schedule as per the ministry of Education Almanac.
Those who joined in the first selection had adapted already and familiarized with the language that was not in my tongue like swahili and sukuma.
But because God does things in His way and uses people to reveal His mighty, it took no time for me to adapt and cope. The craming was intensive π no matter the pronunciations. In short, I never failed at education.
Hon. Lowassa decisions planked and strutted me to reaching here in the aspect of education. I don't know where I would be in the aspect of education. I believe my journey of education
would be longer if it was not the decision. Bad of luck, the school where I got a chance to repeat before second selection, it did not perform well, only 2 passed, but were not those whom we believed to be brighter. I am not sure if we could pass 3.
Hon. Lowassa greatly footed my chance to advance with my education journey.
His decision impacted my life forever in the journey of education. I am always thankful to him for that. May God remember the good deeds he did to impact the lives of many in different ways.
See u again, Hon. Lowassaππ»ππ»
