INTRODUCTION
STAMIGOLD Company Limited was incorporated on 28th October, 2013. The Company is a subsidiary of the State Mining Corporation, engaging in prospecting, exploration, development, production and processing of gold, it also market gold within foreign markets. OPERATIONS
Following its incorporation as a government owned company, it currently own and operate STAMIGOLD Biharamulo Mine, the

gold mine in Biharamulo District formerly owned and managed by African Barrick Gold. The mine area comprises of two mineralized areas, the Eastern Zone ore body and the Western Zone and Mojamoja ore bodies; run of mine stockpile area, crushing plant, processing plant, fresh water reservoirs, waste water storage facilities and ancillary facilities. ACCESS
The mine site can be accessed by air using a private aerodrome registered as Muhama Aerodrome and by clay compacted roads joining the site with the Biharamulo and Kahama Highways. The site can be accessed by road from Kahama District centre as well as from Mwanza via Geita along the highway to Kigoma. CLIMATE
The annual average temperatures for the area range from 15 - 30°C. The total annual rainfall ranges between 800mm and 1100mm. The area is characterized by a bimodal type of climate whereby it has two rainy seasons (November to January) and (March to May). The annual evaporation rate is approximately 1100mm.
