In an African economy that has been crippled by charity, Tanzania, one of the poorest countries in the world is at the same time rich with gold in the land. Because of extreme poverty as well as large international corporations stripping the people of their gold and economic balance with it, local Tanzanian citizens are unable to benefit from this natural resource. Small scale miners that attempt
to benefit from this business have to resort to primitive technology using mercury that is dangerous for their health and the environment, while at the same time are unable to have a high extraction rate. As a locally run, externally financed company, we aim to fill in the gap that the economy so desperately needs, by opening a medium scale gold processing plant, using modern technology that is much more cost effective and safe than what the majority small scale gold mine can provide. We are starting a Vat Leaching Gold Processing Plant which will use leftovers, "tailings", from hundreds of years of mining to employ local miners with jobs that will pay better than the little they earn now, in a safer environment that will model honest and moral business practices in a corrupt region, to begin a movement of change-- putting wealth creation back in the hands of Tanzanians.
