The Friends of Usambara Society is a grassroots organization that uses sustainable tourism to conserve the nature and culture of the Usambara Mountains region. Our guides are professionally trained, certified, and several have diplomas in Tourism Travel Agency management. They all adopt and implement a tour guide code of conduct and ethics, speak very good English, and are familiar with the area. Our friendly and reliable guides can tell you many stories about the history, daily life, and local cultures of the West Usambara peoples.
