Професійне вигорання, що виникає внаслідок тривалого впливу стресів, є значним чинником ризику як для фізичного, так і психічного здоров'я співробітників.
Більшість досліджень вигоряння зосереджені на повсякденних ситуаціях, при цьому менше уваги приділяється його причинам та проявам під час затяжних національних криз, таких як війна. Умови воєнного часу пов'язані з втратою ресурсів, що призводить до прискореного вигоряння.

Maor Kalfon Hakhmigari, Irene Diamant провели дослідження, метою якого було вивчення вигоряння серед співробітників під час війни в Ізраїлі, що почалася у жовтні 2023 року, внаслідок чого населення по всій країні опинилося в стані екзистенційної загрози та функціональної кризи.
Серед результатів дослідження мою увагу привернули ті, що засвідчили взаємозв'язок між участю співробітників у волонтерських програмах і їх більш низьким рівнем вигоряння.

Саме так, в організаціях, де співробітники були залучені до волотерської діяльності, рівень вигоряння був значно нижчим.
