This bag was made to order from faraway Europe
for a sister who is far in distance,
but close at heart — Ukraine.

It felt special from the very beginning.
It was sewn as if for my own sister.

While shaping the lily,
my hands slowed down on their own.
Beige petals, white and beige threads —
everything came together quietly, without rush.
