In 2024, I found out you already existed - and I fell in love with you right away.
And about 9 months later, I met you for the first time - and I loved you even more.

The way you greet me, the way you eat, crawl, walk… and the way you look at me - it’s something truly incredible.

When I leave early in the morning for the coffee shop, almost every day I stop by your crib and watch you sleep so sweetly. And filled with love, I leave - just to come back soon and hold you again.

Your curiosity, determination, and joy in everything around you teach me to see the beauty in simple things all over again.

Thank you for coming into our family. I love you so much.

I’m reposting this not only to thank Downtown Alliance for supporting local businesses in the Financial District, but also as a small milestone moment. Since this article was published, our journey has continued - today SIMPL already has two coffee shops in Manhattan.

A feature about has just been published in by Roast Magazine - one of the most respected industry publications in the U.S. coffee world.

Huge thanks to Howard Bryman and the editorial team for paying attention to our story and for capturing our philosophy so accurately: making it as simple as possible for the guest - and as honest as possible in how it feels.

For us, this is a strong signal. We’re building SIMPL in Manhattan with a high standard of taste, consistency, and service - and it means a lot to see that recognized on this level.

And most importantly - thank you to our guests. You come back, recommend us to friends, leave reviews, notice the details - and you’re the reason we know every day that what we’re building truly matters.

Before I met Lisa, my love lived with my parents and my sister.
Then she came into my life - and my heart grew bigger: I came to love her, her parents, her brother and sisters, and all her loved ones.

When my son Jason was born, I felt it clearly - love can expand. I tell him “I love you” almost every day, every time I see him.
And now it’s been a year since my little girl Zoe has been with us - and there’s even more love in my heart.

“I love you” is heard in our home every day.
And I’m deeply grateful for this feeling, for my family, for my parents, and for the chance to be a son and a father.

It was truly a pleasure meeting you in the coffee shop. We’re genuinely happy you enjoyed our coffee, and thank you for ultimately deciding to write about us. Every day we notice simple things that mean a lot: guests smiling, coming back again, sharing kind words about the taste and quality of our drinks, and sometimes even taking photos of the space for Instagram - it all feels like real, living support.

Your piece served as independent published material about our work and helped substantiate our leadership and impact in specialty coffee operations and growth in New York City. Since it ran, our progress has continued: about six months later we opened our second SIMPL location, and we’re now actively searching for a space to open our third SIMPL coffee shop in 2026.

We’re growing and improving, and we’re genuinely inspired by the support of people like you — independent journalists, bloggers, our neighbors in the community, and of course our beloved guests - who motivate us to keep getting better and expanding 🤗

We truly appreciate your support of local businesses in New York. Since this post, we’ve already opened two coffee shops in Manhattan, and we’re now preparing for the next step - our third location. For almost two months now, I’ve been watching my son’s jiu-jitsu classes and seeing how he’s supported in every action and every situation - always with a smile, a hug, and a spirit of teamwork. And I can clearly see that he feels it.

Huge thanks to Coach Marcelo, Coach Renata, and all the other wonderful coaches for their amazing educational approach and sincere love for children.

Thank you also to the parents in our group who share their care not only with their own kids but with all the children around them.

My son is absolutely thrilled, I’m happy, and deeply grateful to all of you - you guys are amazing!
