Today we are on ground in Bakhmut which is the most contested city in Ukraine at the moment. The Russians are mercilessly shelling the city. We are moving quickly to evacuate several people and families who are unable to leave without our help.

This is a dangerous and deadly crossing.

Russian artillery have these crossing ranged and will drop rounds at the sight of any activity. Already damaged and left for dead in the crossing, a civilian vehicle, a tractor, and a Ukrainian armored vehicle.

Bridges of size and length are critical for moving troops and supplies. The Russians and Ukrainians both know this and will target these lines of communication to stop the influx of troops or cut off escape routes.

We use these routes to move evacuees out of danger and to deliver critical humanitarian supplies to areas that have been cut off.

On any given day, our medics can come across elderly patients with dementia, an injured pet, or Soldiers wounded in battle. In every case, they are true professionals and always treat their patients with compassion and kindness.

In this short video, our medic is treating a wounded Ukrainian Solider. Our evacuation had become stuck near a crossing which also happened to be a casualty collection point for the Ukrainian Army.

It was a dark and cold night. Our medic immediately went into action and triaged patients with shrapnel and gunshot wounds. These situations can be hectic but our medic held his composure and saved lives.

The road conditions in eastern Ukraine are not favorable to our vehicle tires. We've changed countless tires due to shrapnel and other obstacles in the roads.

Luckily, our team was able to make it to a safe area for this tire change.

Driving in Bakhmut can be a deadly adventure. When our team is not being targeted by Russian artillery, they must always be ready to share the road with Ukrainian tanks, self-propelled artillery, and other vehicles that outweigh our SUVs and Vans by thousands of pounds.

Winter snow and rain have turned the roads into treacherous bogs of mud which require skill to navigate. At some major crossing it's not uncommon to see several vehicles stuck to include tractors and military vehicles.
