Kharkiv-based NovaAgro Ukraine LLC, which specialises in the production of grains and oilseeds, is acquiring AgroGeneration, a French agricultural holding with assets in Ukraine. 🇺🇦

As part of the deal, Konkur Investments Limited, a subsidiary of Michael Blazer's SigmaBleyzer, will sell almost 126.1 million shares in AgroGeneration (representing 56.90% of the share capital) at a price of $0.036 per share. The total value of the deal is $4.5 million plus the repayment of $3.2 million in current account debt. 💸

The war caused AgroGeneration significant losses due to the destruction of fixed assets, inventories, and the liquidation of several farms. The agroholding estimates the total losses at €16.7 million.

However, Ukrainians have once again proved that they are worth fighting for a free and independent state, which will develop rapidly in many areas in the post-war period. 🌾

$11 million for investment in Ukraine 📈
D3 Venture Capital plans to increase its size by $11 million and invest in 13 more Ukrainian startups
D3 Venture Capital, with ex-Google CEO Eric Schmidt among its partners, plans to expand its size from $19 million to $30 million by mid-summer 2024. 🏷
The current size of the fund is $19 million. According to Evelyn Buchacki, the fund's managing partner, "D3 Venture Capital's goal is to expand the fund to $30 million by mid-summer 2024."

D3 Venture Capital has already funded seven Ukrainian defence start-ups. Zvook, Frontline, Swarmer, Drone Space, Airland Systems, HighCat, and Tytan have received investments. By the end of the year, he plans to increase his portfolio to ten companies. "Next year, at least ten more, but preferably more," Buchatsky said. 🇺🇦

Another investment support from the EU Fund 🇪🇺
At the first meeting of the Investors' Committee of the EU Fund for Ukraine, managed by the European Investment Bank (EIB), member states gave the go-ahead for the first project of the fund.
This project involves an investment of €25 million in Horizon Capital Growth Fund IV (HCGF IV), a Ukrainian capital growth fund managed by Horizon Capital.
The financing will primarily target small asset, human capital-rich companies and export-oriented technology companies.
The investment in HCGF IV is the first EU Fund for Ukraine project launched by the EIB in spring 2023. The Fund is part of a broader EU initiative for Ukraine, which aims to quickly address Ukraine's urgent needs and support economic stability. 🇺🇦
