This morning, three years ago, I woke up to the sound of explosions. I got up and went out onto the balcony in a hurry. Outside the window was the sky black and red from the explosions. russian missiles were hitting my city, a sleeping peaceful city, one after another. There was no alarm or warning, we were not ready. Then I watched a video of putin's address on Telegram. The old rascal confidently told how he had ordered his troops to conduct a special military operation against Ukraine, supposedly with the aim of denazifying and demilitarizing it. He was clearly and methodically lying, justifying his crime.
He and the russians did it then, and they are repeating it now. They accuse us of oppressing russians and the russian language. This is a lie. I was a russian speaker until 2014, and the main reason for abandoning russian is disgust for the executioners of my people. Disgust for the language and culture that has lied to us Ukrainians for decades about brotherly love. And then, taking advantage of our trust, they stabbed us in the back, first in the spring of 2014, and then on February 22, they crept up on us while we were sleeping.
During World War II, there was a famous song in the Soviet Union, sung by Odessan Mark Bernes, with the following words:

Just change the date at the beginning of the song and it becomes completely relevant, that is, the russians acted in the same way as the n***s 81 years before them. It is ironic that now the russians publicly declare anti-fascism as the basis of their ideology. Hugh Long was prophetic when he said: The fascists of the future will call themselves anti-fascists.
A month after the liberation of Kyiv region, we saw with our own eyes putin's main goal - the destruction of Ukraine as a state and the Ukrainian people as a separate nation. By methods of genocide - executions of anyone who, in one way or another, can be considered a bearer of Ukrainian self-identification. The russians don't need the territories, and they don't need the people on these lands either. That's why they are sincerely destroying Ukrainian cities along with their inhabitants, and those few collaborators who survive become second-class citizens for them.
putin dreams of going down in history as a great dictator who revived the russian empire. And his people sincerely support their leader. Therefore, "good" russians are a myth, because even those who are putin's opponents still sincerely support the idea of reviving the empire. Ukraine can't expect peace with them.
Yes, my country is exhausted by war, yes, we have suffered terrible losses, yes, we have problems inside because of greedy scoundrels and exemplary scoundrels. There are always those who steal during war, there are those who betray their own people, there are those who do not have the strength to fight. (I am not writing about Zelensky now, by the way) But the people of Ukraine will fight, because the alternative is complete destruction. This is not a fight for territory, this is a fight for existence.
Regarding peace with russia - it is impossible, because they want to destroy us, and we are ready to do anything to survive. The only possible break is a break that the russians will use to weaken Ukraine and the World, and prepare for a new attack, more thoroughly than last time. Therefore, whatever politicians agree on now, it is only temporary. Ukrainians really need your support, just like three years ago. And will need it in the future. We are worth this support. I don't know what's on Trump's mind, is he a scoundrel or an idiot, or both. I know for sure that he is a liar. I don't know whether Elon Musk is a du***ss or a genius. But I am absolutely sure that putin and his people are murderers, scoundrels, and the greatest Evil in this World. And Evil will definitely be defeated and punished, sooner or later.
