𝗗𝗕𝗔 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 – 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗞𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲 and Mykolaiv

For the first day of our recent trip to Southern Ukraine, Danish Business Association (DBA) President Lars Vestbjerg and Manager Mariia Hudkova visited Mykolaiv and Kobleve to deepen our understanding of local opportunities and ongoing reconstruction efforts.

The visit included:
• A tour of Koblevo Winery, one of the region’s key agro‑industrial players
• A stop at the Tuzly wind farm, showcasing the area’s renewable energy potential
• A visit to the newly established Novofedorivka Industrial Park, designed to attract future manufacturing and logistics investments
• Meeting with Dmytro Tarasenko, Expert for Business Cooperation at the Mykolaiv Regional Development Agency, to advance our ongoing cooperation and regional recovery strategies.

We also received a comprehensive update from the Kobleve Territorial Community Recovery Office, who provided valuable insights into current activities, local priorities and the broader development trajectory for the coastal region.
For DBA, these field visits are essential. They ensure that Danish companies gain real, on‑the‑ground knowledge, trusted local contacts and a clear view of where opportunities in energy, infrastructure, agro‑industry and industrial development are emerging.

Yesterday, the President of our Association Lars Vestbjerg attended the Public Report of Mykola Nykytyuk, Head of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service (STS) in the Lviv region.

The meeting was held as part of an expanded session of the Public Council, bringing together representatives of the state, business, and the public.

For our organization, participating in such events is about:
✅ Transparency: A clear insight into the tax administration’s performance over the past year.
✅ Communication: A direct platform to discuss current tax challenges and updates.
✅ Collaboration: A constructive bridge between government authorities and the community.

Sustainable development in the Lviv region depends on honest interaction and mutual responsibility. Events like this are an important step toward building trust, improving communication, and supporting a fair and transparent economic environment.

On February 25, the Danish Business Association successfully organised after-work social event in 2026 at Grand Hotel Lviv Casino & SPA 🏨

The event opened with the presentation “Facts You May Like to Know About Denmark and Greenland”, held by DBA manager highlighting key aspects of the Danish Realm.

Participants learned about Denmark’s historic monarchy, the world’s oldest national flag, its high rankings in happiness, sustainability and gender equality, as well as the cultural concepts of "hygge" and "lykke". The presentation also covered Greenland’s unique status as the world’s largest island, its strategic importance and its role within the Kingdom of Denmark 🇩🇰

The program continued with a presentation about Grand Hotel Lviv, its history and development, held by Commercial Director of Grand Hotel Oleksii Metelskyi.

Guests were invited on a guided tour of the hotel’s rooms, SPA area, gym and other premium facilities. We also learned about the special connection between the hotel and the Danish community — in the early 2000s the hotel hosted a significant number of Danish guests and was informally referred to as “the Danish Embassy” in Lviv where the Danes always socially met.

The event provided an excellent platform for networking within the DBA business community in a professional and welcoming atmosphere.

On February 17, the Danish Business Association hosted an exclusive workshop at the Grand Hotel in Lviv, focused on the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence in the modern business landscape.

This insightful session was presented by Varyence, led by American tech entrepreneur and CTO Jason Hishmeh. Together, we explored how AI can be leveraged for a competitive edge, increased productivity, and future-proof cross-border operations.

DBA åbner dansk kontor efter mange års erfaring i Ukraine.
Efter at have assisteret danske virksomheder i mere end et årti i Ukraine, har erhvervsorganisationen Danish Business Organisation (DBA) nu åbnet et nyt lokalkontor i Danmark. Dette skridt er taget på baggrund af en stigende interesse fra danske virksomheder, der ønsker at engagere sig i det ukrainske marked.

𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗨𝗸𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲.
Ifølge CEO i DBA, Lars Vestbjerg, har organisationen oplevet et markant øget antal henvendelser fra danske virksomheder – især under den verserende konflikt. ”Vi er efterhånden blevet lagt ned af henvendelser fra danske virksomheder, som gerne vil være med i dette største emerging marked siden Murens fald.”, tilføjer Lars Vestbjerg. Interessen skyldes blandt andet de mange muligheder, der opstår i kølvandet på de samfundsmæssige og økonomiske forandringer i Ukraine.

𝗗𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗸 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝗴 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗲𝗷𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗺 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗽𝗯𝘆𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴.
Selvom medierne dagligt rapporterer om krigen i Ukraine, påpeger Lars Vestbjerg, at livet går videre, og at der venter et omfattende genopbygningsarbejde i landet. Han fremhæver, at danske virksomheders teknologi, viden, produkter og arbejdsmetoder er meget eftertragtede i denne proces. DBA deltager derfor aktivt i Rebuild Ukraine-indsatsen og samarbejder tæt med både den danske og den ukrainske regering for at fremme udviklingen og genopbygningen.

Det danske kontor, som DBA nu har etableret, tilbyder lokal service til virksomheder i Danmark. Kontorets dansktalende personale hjælper – i samarbejde med den ukrainske afdeling – virksomheder med at få markant lettere adgang til det ukrainske marked. Dette gælder både vejledning om ukrainsk lovgivning og arbejdsgiverforhold, støtte til etablering og finansieringsløsninger via danske tilskudsmuligheder, tolkeservice samt hjælp med andre praktiske forhold, der ofte kan være både irriterende og tidskrævende. On 16th of December 2025, DBA Members and Partners visited First Ukrainian Craft Distillery “Lipsha Distillery” - an authentic and contemporary Ukrainian-Danish craft distillery, founded by a team of enthusiasts with a long-standing passion for fine spirits, that have a sister distillery in the Faroe Islands.

The team of Lipsha Distillery presented the mission of the brand LIPSHA and its values.

Lipsha Distillery created a Ukrainian gin КУKУ RІКУ that awakens the senses. It’s more than just a drink – it’s a bold statement that challenges conventions and invites the world to experience a new Ukraine – brave, vibrant, and innovative.

The most ambition goal of the Distillery was to create craft spirits combining high European standards of spirits production and Ukrainian local botanicals, and to develop the culture of responsible consumption of spirit beverages.

DBA members had an opportunity to hear the story about establishing the company, visit production facilities, and technological process of producing gin.
