Day 4 of our virtual bootcamp was nothing short of transformative, with focus on legal and regulatory compliance aspects.
We kicked off with an enlightening session led by Moses Ngorok, a dedicated finance and commercial lawyer with over a decade of experience advising companies across the globe. Moses unpacked the heart of corporate governance, illustrating why strong structures, clear roles, and transparent decision-making are essential for the sustainability and long-term growth of any organization.
Participants gained practical insights into governance frameworks, co-founder and shareholder agreements, policies, and the systems that safeguard accountability. Moses further guided entrepreneurs through the essentials of employee equity, helping them understand how ESOPs can be powerful tools for attracting, retaining, and motivating top talent—especially in startup environments where ownership and purpose matter.
He emphasized the importance of compliance with existing regulations, proper documentation, and building governance cultures that inspire trust, professionalism, and investor confidence.
The session was not only educational but deeply empowering—reminding founders that strong governance is not a burden, but a strategic advantage that prepares businesses to scale with integrity and clarity.
A huge thank you to Moses Ngorok for his wisdom, clarity, and commitment to strengthening Africa’s future business leaders.
