Wezesha Impact Regional Competition For Eastern Uganda

Am so grateful for having partnered with Wezesha Impact and having nurtured a breed of young potential entrepreneurs(student) from YMCA College of Business Studies, Jinja.

When i see young people starting small projects in Agriculture, Juice processing, baking chapats, crafts and all sorts of small scale business, i see employers in the making who will creat jobs in the next five to ten years to come.

I have always encouraged and i do encourage young people to engage in entrepreneurial activities if they wish to live a better life tomorrow. Salarised jobs are slavised works which only tie one in a cyclic poverty as one always operate on a fixed revenue charactised with debts for as long as there is hope at the end of the month.

I congratulate the three institutions that won in Eastern Uganda ie St Joseph Vocational Training Centre in Kamuli, Nawanyago Technical Institute and YMCA College of Business Studies Jinja which will represent the region at the National Competitions in October 2019 in Kampala.

I want to thank Mr Katumba James the Co-founder and Executive Director of Wezesha Impact together with your team Esther, Janat, Barbra, Cloe and other for the spirit and effort put in transforming Vocational students from the Job mindset towards entrepreneurship through the VEEP program.

I thank all institutions that have participated in this year competion over 13, the instructors and the management of all institutions. Above all i thank the Principal of YMCA Jinja Lambert Okure Drata for his endless efforts towards this noble cause; firstly to enabling the establishment and support of the activities of YMCA Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Incubation Centre Jinja.

Secondly for welcoming Wezesha programs into the College and accepting to Host the Regional Competitions that happened yesterday 26th July 2019.

I thank all the Centre members for the endless efforts that was put in to organise the event.
