The director of the Internal Security Organisation (ISO), Col (Rtd) Frank ‘Kaka’ Bagyenda has accused former Security minister Lt Gen Henry Tumukunde of posturing in his bid to challenge Yoweri Museveni for the country’s top seat come 2021.

According to Col Bagyenda, Lt Gen Tumukunde has no political base and he knows that he has no chance against Mr Museveni in the 2021 presidential elections.

“Tumukunde is posturing to tell everyone that he is above everyone else. That is blackmail. That is how Tumukunde works. He even had an opportunity of campaigning for President Museveni but he failed. He was only moving around in choppers with money,” Kaka said.

Tumukunde was arrested last week on charges of treason. Police spokesperson Fred Enanga said in a statement that Lt Gen Henry Tumukunde will face charges relating to his utterances in a series of radio and television interviews, calling for support from a neighbouring country in removing the current leadership with or without a ballot.

And Kaka believes that Tumukunde could be an agent of external forces.

“I am even attempted to think that some of these people are agents of external forces. They do not speak like patriots. Tumukunde is suffering from a bloated ego,” he adds.

Only last week, Gen Tumukunde was asked about Rwanda on NBS television, and he made comments that the police have indicated as a big part for his ongoing woes.

*Sitting back and waiting on our parents to give us capital may not help.They may have given us school fees and we are now graduates some are dropouts without jobs and we have nowhere to start but if we can get as little as 100,000/= We can make that 10k turn into millions

When young people come together to fight unemployment in Uganda like how you see JUJULO Enterprise skillsnJULO Enterprise skillskJULO Enterprise skills does people out there you can be well assured of a better tomorrow. Its important for us young people to become innovative in fighting poverty though we lack support from ruling regime for a better tomorrow.

The great innovation you see in picture is for the youths after facing challenges in selling fresh green matooke competition from those who wait for ideas to copy, may the good Lord bless and make them stand out. I must congratulate them and their efforts shall not be in vain. The youth need to get involved both in the entire agri value chain process and industrial cottage businesses if we are to fight unemployment.
