Thinking of flexibility, the person with the greatest flexibility in thinking and behaviour has greater chance of succeeding because they let go of what doesn't serve them anymore and hold whole heartedly to what does.They know that only the coward never backs down .

What defines champions or highly effective people is the word flexibility, its willingness to change, it's the celebration of change, though the hardest thing for us human beings to do is to change our habits,we are creatures of habit,we have spent 20,30 etc years building up a certain habits,a habit is an ingrained way of doing things,its when we do something without even thinking about it,

When we develop a habit it simplifies and streamlines our lives,we have to have habits,but certain habits prevent us from moving forward, and we are not ready to let them go because we are not even aware of them or we are scared to let go of what served us in the past,and this may make us collide with the future

Don't be too scared to look into new ways of doing things, listen more to other people's opinions also,it may not hurt,let go of what doesn't serve you and adopt what does.

When someone resigns or retires or leaves a post for some other reasons ,its good opportunity to assess whether the vacancy still serves a purpose. If ,after a good look at the job ,you decide you do need to recruit, the next stage is to define what you are looking for by formulating a job description and a person specification.

You need to be really rigorous about your recruitment practices. There are a lot of Bounty hunters who make it their business to trip up careless recruiters. By this I mean ,for example, that its easy to submit two apparently identical CVs,with one material difference, such as a disability. If you call in the person without the disability for the interview but not the person with a disability it looks as though you are operating a barrier against people with a disability.

There may be some important job activities which are so much part of the routine of the job that they either go un noticed or seem too obvious to mention in an interview or as part of a brainstorming exercise. One way to circumvent this problem is by the use of work diaries. With this technique,the job holder keeps a daily record of all the tasks carried out.Work diaries have the advantage of providing a very comprehensive record of job activities. However, apart from the demands on the job holder's time,diary records can be very time consuming to analyse,especially if there are many trivial items.
