PERSONAL GROWTH AND BUSINESS GROWTH ARE MORE CONNECTED THAN WE THINK
A business can only grow as far as the people leading and building it are willing and able to grow.
We often talk about business growth in terms of revenue, customers, market share, expansion, systems and profitability. These things matter. But behind every business strategy is a person making decisions, solving problems, leading teams, managing resources, responding to change and determining the direction of the organisation.
This is why personal growth cannot be separated from professional and business growth.
As a business leader, your ability to communicate affects your team.
*Your ability to make decisions affects your organisation.
*Your emotional intelligence affects your relationships with clients and employees.
*Your discipline affects ex*****on.
*Your willingness to learn affects innovation.
*Your financial understanding affects the decisions you make with the resources entrusted to you.
*Your vision determines whether your organisation is simply operating or actually moving towards something meaningful.
The growth of the organisation is often a reflection of the growth taking place within the people who lead it.
But growth does not happen simply because we want it to, it requires intentional development. It requires us to recognise the areas where we are strong and the areas where we still need to develop. It requires learning, reflection, feedback, coaching, practice and, sometimes, the humility to admit that what worked at one stage may no longer be enough for the next stage.
The same applies to businesses.
A business that wants to grow must be willing to examine itself.
