Musingika Associates presents the Musingika Group SACCO Capacity-Building Program —a practical initiative designed to build strong, sustainable SACCOs and savings groups in the Rwenzori and Kasese regions.

This program provides a structured, hands-on approach to strengthening SACCO operations through training, mentorship, and continuous support. It focuses on key areas such as governance and leadership, financial records and reporting, credit and loan management, internal controls and risk management, savings mobilization, and strategic growth.

Delivered through monthly training sessions, the program combines practical learning with on-site mentorship, simple tools, and ongoing performance support. This ensures that participants not only gain knowledge but also apply it effectively within their institutions.

By the end of the program, SACCOs are expected to achieve improved financial management, stronger governance systems, reduced loan default rates, and increased savings and membership growth.

The program targets SACCO staff, managers, board members, and savings groups (VSLAs), equipping them with the skills needed to enhance efficiency and sustainability.

Through this initiative, Musingika & Associates aims to empower SACCOs to become transparent, accountable, and growth-oriented financial institutions that drive community development.

I will be presenting at the ICOMOS TheoPhilos Conference from 20–21 November 2025, representing the Association of World Heritage Ambassadors in Uganda.

My presentation will focus on our ongoing research and community engagement work around the Rwenzori Mountains National Park.

This is a powerful opportunity to share Uganda’s heritage story on a global platform and to connect with experts committed to heritage philosophy, ethics, and sustainability.

Pursuant to S. 42 (1) of the East African Community Customs Management Act 2004, the Commissioner Customs requests owners of goods that have exceeded their statutory clearance and warehousing period (un-customed goods) to clear the same within 30 days from the date of first publication of this Public Notice by paying all the requisite taxes, fees, penalties, fines and charges that will have accrued thereon.

All the goods that remain un-cleared after 30 days from the first publication of this notice shall be disposed of by way of public auction.
