The New Vision

Congratulations to Augustine Tamale, CFO, New Vision Printing & Publishing Co. Limited upon winning the Public Sector Award in the Uganda CFO Awards 2020.

Augustine has worked with New Vision as the CFO for 2years championing the Financial Planning and Administration of the Company. Before becoming CFO, he was the Manager – Revenue Accounting from November 2006 to December 2018 and Senior Accountant from July 2001 to October 2006 at New Vision PLC, Senior Finance Manager from June to December 2018 at New Vision Printing & Publishing Co. Limited and as a University Bursar at Makerere University from January 2016 to June 2018.

He holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA), Accounting and a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Accounting from Makerere University and he is a Certified and Licensed member of FCCA, CPA, and ACCA.

Augustine’s specialties are Financial Administration, Planning and Budgeting, Management of Income, expenditure, stores and assets, Cash flow forecast, and Maintenance of sound accounting system and internal controls.

Congratulations to Godfrey Byekwaso, the General Manager Finance – Centenary Rural Development Bank Uganda upon winning the Chief Finance Officer of the year 2020 Award in the Uganda CFO Awards 2020.

Godfrey is passionate about results and continuous improvement and he has been with the Bank for 8years and 1month having joined in December 2012. He previously worked as the Senior Regional Finance Manager at FINCA Uganda for 3years and 11months and before that as the Finance and Administration Manager with the same organization.

He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Accounting and Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Accounting from Makerere University and he has a CEO Apprenticeship Program from Strathmore Business School/CEO Summit Uganda.

Godfrey is well skilled in Managerial Finance, Financial Analysis, Business Strategy, Financial risk, Business planning, Financial audits, Cash management among others.
