STOP THE POOR MINDSET
Let’s strip it down to something uncomfortable but necessary:
Many people are not poor because they lack opportunity.
They are poor because of what they keep choosing.
And most times they don’t even see it.
Give the average person a chance to sit with someone successful, and watch what happens.
They won’t ask for understanding.
They won’t ask for structure.
They won’t ask for how things are built.
They ask for money.
Quick relief.
Immediate comfort.
Something to hold now even if it disappears tomorrow.
But here’s the reality:
Money is the easiest thing to give…
and the hardest thing to sustain if the mindset is still the same.
Because if you don’t understand how value is created,
you won’t know how to keep what is given.
That’s where the real problem is.
Not access.
Not luck.
Not even opportunity.
Thinking.
Some people ask for connections but don’t understand relationships.
They want doors but don’t want the discipline to qualify for the room behind the door.
Even in workplaces, you see it clearly:
People fight for salary
but ignore ownership.
They negotiate for increments…
but never think about equity, influence, or long-term position.
So they help build something massive yet remain small within it.
That’s not oppression.
That’s limitation in thinking.
And it doesn’t end there.
Even in families, the same pattern shows up:
Instead of asking for systems that generate income,
people ask for symbols that display status.
Big house.
Big title.
Big appearance.
But no structure behind it.
And over time, reality catches up.
Because symbols don’t sustain life systems do.
So understand this clearly:
Poverty is not always about what is missing in your pocket.
Sometimes, it is about what is missing in your thinking.
If your first instinct is always “give me” you will stay dependent.
But when your mindset shifts to:
“Show me, teach me, position me”
Everything begins to change.
You stop chasing money.
You start building value.
You stop looking for help.
You start looking for understanding.
And that’s where the transition begins.
So check yourself honestly:
What do you ask for when opportunity shows up?
Relief… or growth?
Because the difference between staying stuck and moving forward
is often hidden in that one decision.
Stop robbing yourself.
Think deeper.
Build smarter.
Position better.
