AAIN staff have convened for a Staff Retreat and Management Reflection Session, creating space to take stock of our journey, reflect on what is working, identify what needs to change, and collectively shape the organisation we need for the future.

Our conversations are centred on some important questions:

🔹 What are we doing well that we should strengthen and scale?
🔹 What must we do differently to remain relevant and competitive?
🔹 What skills and competencies do we need for the future?
🔹 Who are the partners and stakeholders we need on this journey?
🔹 What investments and assets should AAIN prioritise to deliver greater impact?

As an organisation working across Africa’s agribusiness incubation ecosystem, continuous learning must begin from within.

This retreat is therefore more than a moment away from our desks, it is an opportunity to pause, reflect, challenge ourselves and align our systems and ambitions for greater impact.

Because building stronger agribusiness ecosystems starts with building a stronger AAIN

AAIN has successfully concluded the Central Region Training of Trainers on the reviewed BIM Curriculum, AAIN Incubation Delivery Model and AAIN-SIYEP Incubatee Transition Model.

The well-attended training equipped incubators with practical approaches to strengthen onboarding, incubation support, progression, graduation and transition of young women into dignified work, sustainable enterprises, employment and market opportunities.

The objectives were achieved, the conversations were engaging, and our incubators leave better aligned and equipped to translate the models into action.

Because when we strengthen incubators, we strengthen the pathways available to young women.

AAIN has successfully concluded a two-day Training of Trainers (TOT) for Central Region Incubators on the reviewed Business Incubation Management (BIM) Curriculum, AAIN Incubation Delivery Model and AAIN-SIYEP Incubatee Transition Model, Successfull Impact story telling, Monitoring&Evaluation best practices among other program practices held from 18th -19th August 2026 at Ministers Village Hotel, Ntinda.

The well-attended and highly engaging training achieved its objectives, strengthening participants’ understanding and practical capacity to translate AAIN’s incubation models into quality support for young women.

Through practical sessions, discussions and exercises, participants strengthened their capacity in:
🔹Proper impact story telling
🔹M&E best practices
🔹 Applying the reviewed BIM Curriculum
🔹 Delivering structured pre-incubation, incubation and post-incubation support
🔹 Effective identification, profiling, segmentation and onboarding of incubatees
🔹 Supporting incubatees according to their needs and stages of growth
🔹 Developing practical implementation strategies and work plans
🔹 Preparing young women for transition into dignified work, sustainable enterprises, employment and market opportunities
🔹 Strengthening graduation, transition and outcome tracking

The training also provided an important platform for Central Region incubators to align around a common understanding and approach to quality incubation delivery.

For AAIN, strengthening the capacity of incubators is ultimately about strengthening the opportunities available to the young women they serve.

From stronger incubators to stronger enterprises, sustainable livelihoods and dignified work.

And we onboarded young women onto the SIYEP program

Every young woman reached represents a new opportunity to learn, build skills, explore enterprise and work towards a sustainable livelihood.

And this is just the beginning.

More skills. More opportunities. More livelihoods for young women in Kigezi. We aim to transit 25,000 young gotls into descent jobs and dignified employment.

AAIN continues to take the Sustainable Inclusive Youth Employment Pathways (SIYEP) closer to young women in their communities.

Across Noozi, Rwamucucu and Kihanga Archdiocenary, we met, mobilized, profiled and onboarded young women, opening pathways for them to access skills, opportunities and support towards sustainable

Through SIYEP, these young women will have opportunities to strengthen their skills, explore enterprise pathways and build towards more resilient and sustainable livelihoods.

More young women reached.
More skills unlocked.
More opportunities created.
More livelihoods strengthened.

One community at a time, we are expanding pathways for young women to learn, earn and thrive.

Close to 55 participants joined AAIN for an engaging Implementation Readiness & Alignment Webinar focused on strengthening incubators, accelerators and ESOs.

The discussions were practical, interactive and forward-looking and our commitment remains clear:

👉🏾 Produce stronger, investment-ready incubatees
👉🏾 Support sustainable enterprises and employment opportunities

Because quality incubatees don’t happen by chance, they are nurtured by capable incubation systems.

And we are committed to building that capacity.

Today, AAIN successfully hosted an engaging Implementation Readiness and Alignment Webinar, bringing together close to 55 participants committed to strengthening incubation and enterprise support.

The conversation centred on one important question: How do we strengthen incubators, accelerators and Enterprise Support Organisations (ESOs) so they can produce quality incubatees who are ready to build sustainable enterprises and create decent employment?

Through lively discussions, practical reflections and shared experiences, one message stood out: quality incubatees begin with strong and capable incubators.

AAIN therefore reaffirmed its commitment to continuously build the capacity of incubators, strengthening their systems, skills, mentorship, documentation, safeguarding, monitoring and enterprise development approaches so that they can provide better support to the young people they serve.

Today’s webinar was not the end of the conversation. It was part of a continuous capacity-building journey.

When we strengthen the incubator, we strengthen the entrepreneur.
When we strengthen the entrepreneur, we strengthen enterprises.
And when enterprises thrive, jobs and opportunities are created.
