Innovation is only true when it is inclusive. Under the program, AAIN recently hosted the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) from AFARD and our technical partners from the National Union of Disabled Persons of Uganda (NUDIPU)to discuss the inclusion report for our premises.
Through this vital partnership, we have gained expert insights into making our workspace safer and more accessible for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). From physical infrastructure adjustments to inclusive policy reforms, we are committed to:
-Eliminating discrimination in the agribusiness ecosystem.
-Ensuring every entrepreneur, regardless of ability, has the tools to thrive.
-Fostering a workspace that reflects our core values of equity and empowerment.
Special thanks to NUDIPU for their expert guidance as we adopt these essential changes to better serve our community.

AAIN’s second stop on the SIYEP Program Steering Committee field visit is Bishop Stuart University, where young women are proudly showcasing impressive innovations developed through the BIM training.
The visit is highlighting how BIM equips young women with practical, market-driven skills, empowering them to transform ideas into viable agribusiness enterprises. In the same milestone moment, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. John Mugisha, officially launched the new BIM Curriculum 2026–2030. AAIN is taking Incubation on another level

AAIN is hosting the SIYEP Program Steering Committee in Uganda’s Western Region to observe the incubation model in action.
At Rwampara Farm Institute, one of AAIN’s Anchor Incubator, young women are transforming agriculture through value addition, meat processing, agro-processing, coffee development, and crop breeding.
The team toured the institute and officially launched a community-based market along the Kabale-Mbarara highway, creating equitable market access for young women to boost mass production for both local and international markets.

The AAIN team under the SIYEP Program is participating in a Safeguarding and Protection Training facilitated by the DLC team.
All SIYEP partners have come together for this important workshop aimed at strengthening our ability to detect, prevent, and address safeguarding concerns, including Gender-Based Violence (GBV), abuse, and exploitation.
This training comes at the perfect time—as the world observes the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.
It reaffirms our collective commitment to creating safe, inclusive, and empowering spaces for young people, women, and communities.
Together, we are building a stronger and safer ecosystem.

Africans must be empowered through income and wealth built on the 3As: Affordability, Availability & Accessibility.”
