Sometimes, nursing job applications are rejected because of poorly written personal statements[PS]. Unfortunately, recruiters are so busy that they unable to give individualised feedback as to why a particular application was rejected.

In the last few days, going through a session of personal statement review, one nurse said: " I wonder why I did not see this before now. Thank you so much for guiding me." It is common for most applicants to overlook critical aspects of their personal statement because they have no clue about it important or not. However, recruiters pay absolute attention to these areas.

Hello Beautiful People! How are you all doing? It feels good to be back here after some weeks of learning and reflection. We are not ashamed to identify as a growing enterprise and part of growth is the ability to learn and build the capacity to become better.

The care industry; especially overseas recruitment and training is dynamic. After experiencing a few setbacks due to the variation of output experienced and the new challenges overseas nurses encounter in the process of seeking employment in the UK and more, we thought that further training and capacity building is needed for effective and efficient service delivery.

Here are a few things you should consider when making plans to work in the UK.

Even though the principles of nursing care appear to be the same globally, their applications differ greatly and overseas nurses interested in working in the UK should fully comprehend the different contexts of nursing and healthcare delivery and their theoretical underpinning before signing any contract.

The understanding of the health context within which nursing and healthcare services are provided will guide effective and dignified patient care delivery, decision making, and help the nurse or healthcare support worker to work within specified boundaries. To be continued.
