How Can You Collect Data with Google Forms?
To collect data with Google Forms, create a new form at forms.google.com, add questions (text, multiple-choice, dropdowns), and click "Send" to distribute the link. Responses are viewed under the "Responses" tab or exported to a Google Sheet for analysis.
STEPS TO COLLECT DATA
Create a Form: Go to forms.google.com and click "+ Blank" or choose a template.
Add & Customize Questions:
Click the + icon to add questions.
Select question types: Short answer (text), Paragraph, Multiple choice, Checkboxes, or Dropdown. Use the "Required" toggle to make key questions mandatory.
Configure Settings: Under the Settings tab, you can enable "Collect email addresses" to track respondents. Limit responses to one per person if necessary.
Customize Theme: Click the palette icon to change colors, fonts, or add a header image.
Send and Distribute: Click Send to share via email, copy a direct link, or embed the form in a website.
Analyze Data: Summary: View automatically generated graphs in the "Responses" tab.
Spreadsheet: Click the green Sheets icon in the "Responses" tab to create a linked Google Sheet for raw data storage.
