Today, one of our Kampala-based incubator cohort participants completed their 5-day workshop series. This cohort comprises women-led businesses in the agriculture, circular economy, and renewable energy sectors.

🎉 Kicking off the Green SME Technical Assistance Facility ( ) - MBALE EDITION

Last week, we launched the Green SME Technical Assistance Facility ( ) in Mbale with 2 cohorts of 30 women-led green enterprises each 🌱. The group brings together businesses in renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, circular economy, construction, and eco-tourism - all ready to grow and deepen their impact.

The 4-day session had a hands-on approach, which resulted in the participants being lively and engaged throughout. Seeing every enterprise leader sharing ideas, building networks, and exploring early collaborations 🤝 was a plus because this is what this drive is geared towards. Thanks to Imuka Access (Gerald Gibu) for the solid workshop facilitation.

Through the TAF, and in partnership with under the Investing in Young Business in Africa - Africa Women Entrepreneurship for Africa (IYBA WE4A Project), we are achieving more than a hashtag ( ) as we witness enterprises receiving green business advisory support.

Last week, our Team Lead Merab Twinomugisha, had the privilege of representing Finding XY at the 3-day Uganda Green Enterprise Finance Accelerator (UGEFA) Training of Trainers (ToT) on Gender and Diversity in Kampala, Uganda.

So many practical learnings, including gender gap analysis, action planning for inclusion, and building skills to train SMEs/fellow ESO’s on embedding equity in green businesses.
