What is Azolla ?
Azolla is an aquatic fern with a more resemblance to mosses or even duck w**d.
How to plant Azolla?
To plant azolla, prepare a shallow container or pond with a soil/manure mixture at the bottom or pour little soil in drum put water ,drop a sack with moderate dung let it float ,spread evenly the azolla seeds . Place the container in a spot with partial shade and good sun exposure, and maintain the water level. The azolla should cover the surface in about two weeks.
How long does it take to harvest it?
It takes about 7 to 10 days for azolla to mature and cover the water's surface, at which point you can begin to harvest it daily. While the initial harvest starts around this time, daily harvesting is possible once the plant has formed a thick mat. However for the first harvest it may take 2 to 3 weeks
