Look how our autonomy game changed already! After our in-house testing sessions (see previous post) we improved the concept of the game and upgraded the look and feel. This week we are testing the improved version with young women, man, councilors and partner organizations in Arua region, and what a success it is! The game is very much liked by the audience, and their detailed feedback to improve the game even more is very much appreciated by us!

We love gamified learning, but no game is developed in one go. It's test-and-change multiple times. Good news: we love testing our games! We had a blast testing the (first) paper version of our autonomy game which we are developing for Cordaid to make girls aware about their decision power.
After improving the game based on our inhouse testing rounds, we will take the game to Arua District (Northern Uganda) next week, to try out the game with the actual target audience.

Inspiration alert!
Today, at the International day for Persons with Disabilities, we like to show you examples of companies and organizations working on inclusion, that activate our minds.

An important step towards inclusion is inclusive communication. Making sure you communicate in the most inclusive way is very relevant for your customer segment and (future) employees. Going beyond recruitment, marketing and branding by making all your communication - both internally and externally - as inclusive as possible and welcoming all diversities.

Let's take a look at Barclays: at its website you can find a wide-range of support for people with different accessibility needs, from practical tools such as assistive technology for the visually and hearing impaired to advice on how to manage finances if you or a loved one has a disability. It also offers third-party bank accounts for those who may need additional support with accessing their finances, services to help with dyslexia and dyscalculia and those with dexterity challenges. This opens Barclays to a far broader customer base and boosts its reputation. It makes business sense.

Inspiration alert!
Today, at the International day for Persons with Disabilities, we like to show you examples of companies and organizations working on inclusion, that activate our minds. Look at this inclusive product design of the Nike FlyEase!

The Nike FlyEase laceless shoe was inspired by a man with cerebral palsy but has been purchased by many more disabled and able-bodied customers.
MagZip, a system that enables zipping with one hand, was designed for a man who had dementia and is now used by brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Moncler, and Under Armour, whose related jackets are favored by cyclists.
What is your favourite inclusive product design?
