Our client, a financial institution is looking for a Risk and Compliance Officer to support the implementation of their Enterprise Risk Management Framework in line with Bank of Uganda's risk guidelines ad sound risk management practices.
Among other roles, they will establish, maintain and update our client's systems risk incidence register and prepare analysis reports, and also undertake risk assessments at different branches and departments for assurance of Board on the adequacy of the institution's risk and control self assessments.

Our ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in risk management and assessments, and implementing risk management standards.
Experience in this field in the banking and microfinance sector is an added advantage.

EXPORT/SHIPPING LOGISTICS OFFICER.

We are looking for a Shipping Logistics Officer who has experience in international shipping processes, both import and export in Uganda.
They should have experience in working with Freight Forwarders to clear incoming shipments from Customs and also handling the export process of finished goods and raw materials.
They will work with Warehouse Logistics team to ensure export shipments are made on time and all license related documents and processes in compliance with Uganda's laws.
They will prepare and review shipping documents to ensure proper documentation of export classification information.
They will plan, schedule, route in-bound and out-bound domestic and international shipments of goods using knowledge of URA regulations, tariffs and company policies

They will also arrange shipping details such as export licenses, customs declarations, and packing, shipping, and routing of product, monitor export license and compliance.
Analyze and recommend transportation and freight costs as well as appropriate routing and carriers to be used.
Provides cost effective, efficient and traceable movement of company products both in-bound and out-bound.
Expedite import-export arrangements and maintain current information on import-export tariffs, licenses, and restrictions.
Audit freight bills and prepare and negotiate claims
Interprete laws, rules and regulations regarding shipping and prepare applications for import/export control certifications and license

Our ideal candidate will have;
-Thorough knowledge of Uganda's customs laws
-At least 4 years of experience in handling the 360 degree shipping and export process.
